our love story...

From the bride’s perspective: 

During Halloween weekend our junior year of college, Casey and I met at Michigan State University through mutual friends (which, as we all know, is code for “met at a frat party”). Over the next few months we quickly became good friends and started dating the following June – June 8th, to be exact! We enjoyed our senior year together filled with tailgates, hayrides, and formals. After I graduated, Casey had internship in Ohio before completing his final semester and I moved back to Virginia. We then started a year of being in a long distance relationship, and we quickly realized that we did not want to be long distance for long. Casey accepted a job offer in New York, and while on our first vacation together in Florida, he asked me if I wanted to join him on this East Coast adventure. Excited for this new chapter, I said yes, and we moved in together on our two-year anniversary. 

Two years later, I had decided that we were not going to give each other gifts for our anniversary. Casey broke this rule spectacularly and surprised me with a vacation back to Florida! This would have been surprise enough, but on the first night we went down to the beach at sunset. Walking by the water he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! Again, I said YES! Now after 6 years (to the day) and 4 states, we are beyond excited to get married and celebrate with all of our favorite people!
